The first step in ending domestic violence is understanding our own personal history, taking responsiblity for our part in it, making a conscious decision to create change within ourselves. With knowledge there is healing, compassion and forgiveness, and above all the chance to break the circle of pain, allowing our children the joy and freedom of a violent free life.

Busy preparing and gathering all things necessary for the trip. I found a great wish list from a shelter site online, these are items that all shelters are in need of all the time, so please take a moment while you are out shopping and stop by Target and pick up a few of these items and take them over to you local shelter. You will feel great for doing it and you will be helping folks in real need!

So there have been a few changes to our itinerary; our speaking engagement in Taos will be on the 23rd of September instead of the 22nd. We will be speaking at Pearl for Teen Girls in Milwaukee on the 28th of September at 6pm and The Sojourner Truth House on the 29th at 9am, they are also working on another event as well that evening.
